Mohammad Currently acts as Managing Partner at Bataineh Palmeri. He also acts as Managing Member of the Firm's transactions department. His primary area of practice is transactional work with particular focus on structured acquisitions and mergers, organization of closely held businesses, and governance and corporate compliance.
Notable representations include lead counsel for the reverse merger of a publicly traded aviation and aeronautics company into a target shell, a complex debt restructuring for a national closely held hospitality and services company, an acquisition of a closely held hospitalist group by a leading national group with over 1,400 full time hospitalists in 27 states, as well as other notable representations of SMEs.
He has worked at the Department of Commerce, Commercial Law Development Program, in Washington, DC where Mohammad advised on the drafting and adoption of foreign investment and corporate codes for GCC countries. . Mohammad currently sits on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of OneJax, Inc., an Institute of the University of North Florida. Mohammad serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of American Faces, a revolutionary new non-profit initiative and acts as an adviser to Emerge USA, a national organization whose mission is to ensure that under-represented communities have the same constitutional rights, social privileges, and political opportunities.
Mohammad is a frequent lecturer and guest speaker, including the diversity panel discussion hosted by Florida Coastal School of Law and moderated by the honorable Monte C. Richardson, moderator of a JBA discussion panel on ethics, professionalism and the duties of attorneys, as well as various other speaking engagements.
